Dental Technology

One of the most important aspects of maintaining a high standard of dental care is incorporating the right technology and systems into our practice. The Wisconsin Dental Solutions office is equipped with resources that keep treatment efficient, safe, comfortable and quick. Thanks to the advanced technology and systems in place, we are able to reduce treatment times and ensure maximum safety and comfort to all of our Madison dental implants patients.

At Wisconsin Dental Solutions, we use the following:

Digital X-Rays

Digital X-rays expose our patients to significantly less radiation (approximately 70 to 80 percent) than film X-ray systems. Also, digital X-rays are sent directly to a computer and our doctors can review them side-by-side with the patient, discussing the oral anatomy and teeth while identifying any problem areas. This makes the experience more collaborative, helping you be more involved in the decision-making process and better understand your dental treatment options.

iCAT

Our doctors rely on iCAT technology for the planning and placement of dental implants. The iCAT machine provides high-resolution, three-dimensional images of the patient's bone structure and bone density, which is vital to enhancing surgical predictability and accurate restorative outcomes It also allows us to preplan implant sizes and placement locations and helps to avoid unnecessary complications.

CEREC

CEREC is a state-of-the-art, computer-guided design and manufacturing system that enables our doctors to plan and fabricate same-day all-porcelain dental restorations and crowns right in our office. Our team no longer needs to rely on an outside dental lab, because we can design and fabricate quality restorations and crowns in-house. This significantly cuts down on treatment time, the number of appointments, and makes the experience much more convenient for our patients, who are anxious to receive their all-porcelain restorations and crowns. CEREC one-day all-porcelain crowns eliminate the worry of temporary crowns falling off, and are completed in just one visit.

The CompuDent Wand

The CompuDent Wand is an anesthesia delivery system that allows us to ensure maximum patient comfort and relaxation during treatment. It manages the flow and volume of anesthesia and delivers an accurate amount of the medication through a computerized system.
